1️⃣ "I need to be fit to start" 🏃

Reality: Both Krav Maga and Kickboxing at Stronghold are designed to help you get in shape. Our classes cater to all fitness levels, and you'll build strength, endurance, and confidence as you progress.

2️⃣ “I need martial arts experience to start.” 🥋

Reality: Beginners are always welcome! Most of our students start with zero experience. Kickboxing and Krav Maga are great for people starting their martial arts journey, and you'll be surrounded by a supportive community.

3️⃣ “It’s too intense for me or I’m too old.” ⚡

Reality: Both disciplines are adaptable to your fitness level and ability. Whether you're a teen or an adult, the intensity can be adjusted based on your needs and goals. There’s no “too late” to start building your skills.

4️⃣ “I’ll be thrown into sparring right away.” 🥊

Reality: Sparring is not mandatory for beginners. At Stronghold Academy, you’ll first learn proper skills and drills to build your confidence before even considering sparring. Sparring is productive and partner preservation is a big part of training.

Reality: All you really need to begin is basic workout clothing and a positive attitude. At Stronghold Academy, we can help provide gloves for beginners during class. As you progress, you can slowly invest in your own gear, but it’s not a barrier to starting.

The anticipation of starting something new like joining the stronghold, and the doubts that might arise, soon get squashed once you arrive. The hardest part is taking the first step.
